THE SMARTEST WAY IN CHOOSING A WRITING CAREER

A lot of us here are so passionate about writing. Like music, some of us do it for a hobby, some of us do it for a living, and there are some of us who use writing as an outlet. There are times when we are so inspired when we have a lot of thoughts that we want to put into writing. And there are also times when we feel sad, lonely, and hurt, but we get through by writing. We can create a masterpiece when we have so much emotion. This is when we deliver our happiest or painful sentiments in our writing.

Today I am inspired to share my knowledge on how to choose and start a writing career for yourself. Before you land the right place for your talent, it is only right that you know first what kind of writer you want to be. There are plenty of writing careers that you can choose from:

Article writers do short pieces on specialized topics and specific themes such as travel, food, technology, etc. They usually write for magazines and on the Internet.

Copywriters are among the best-paid writers. They write marketing pieces and their most valuable virtue is the ability to spark interest and enthusiasm about a service or product while maintaining the reader’s trust.

Ghostwriters are anonymous but are a large division of book writers. They specialize in writing for other people and act like they were these personalities. They usually write for people with high media profile such as business leaders.

Journalists are the writers working for national and local newspapers and magazines. Millions of people read their piece every day. This career usually requires a degree in journalism.

Novelists write long stories. This type of writing requires a lot of planning and patience to keep track of the progress of the plot, the development of characters and to complete the work.

Poetry writers (poets) A lot of writers started out writing poems as a hobby.

If you are like me, someone who is just starting a career in writing, I suggest that you start with Copywriting or Article Writing. These are some of the easiest writing careers you can get into now, and there are also a lot of benefits. I listed some of the perks below:

Copywriters and article writers present to the world of information. Whether they are writing for websites, blogs, articles, newsletters or brochures, they do a lot of studies to develop a great piece.

As a copywriter or article writer, you have the freedom to work from home and write from your coffee table. As long as you have an internet connection, you can accept projects without having to go outside.

Earn And Pay The Bills
One of the great benefits of being a copywriter or an article writer is that you make money while working on your passion for writing.

You will have new learning every day, work anywhere, and make money while doing something you like.
